Commissioning a piece is a way to acquire a bespoke piece of art especially made for you by Esther. This is Esther’s favourite way to work as she it allows her to communicate directly with a collector and to create a very personal piece for them.
HOW IT WORKS
Let Esther know kind of work what you like from her portfolio. You can ask her about a specific colour palette or ask her for advice about this. You can also specify size and proportions and let her know what kind of space you are wishing the artwork to hang in. After you have written to her, Esther will get back to you with her availability. She will also advise you on the cost of your proposed piece and give you an idea of production time. Esther’s work is time consuming, so it is beneficial to take this into account when ordering.

Once a commission is confirmed Esther will make some sketches or a colour study to check that both the collector and she are happy with the palette, structure and basic composition of the piece. When this has been agreed upon Esther will begin work on the finial piece. A 1/3rd initial payment is requested at this stage, to account for material costs. Collectors are welcome to visit the studio by appointment, or can receive digital images during the process.
